perfect way to start the day
You know how sometimes you just get the exact right amount of sugar and cream in your coffee, which is perfectly brewed and even though you make it the same way every day this particular day it's extra perfect and puts you in a great mood? That happened today. That, plus the delicious treat my co-worker made has jump-started my Tuesday! She sliced up this AMAZING rosemary/olive oil bread, lightly toasted it, added some cream cheese with a slice of sharp cheddar and cold shaved turkey... heaven. A perfect blend of flavors for a marvelous treat.

Harris Teeter makes the best rosemary/olive oil bread I'm addicted1
we have HT rosemary olive oil bread in our kitchen right now! it IS delicious, especially with olive and artichoke tapenade spread on top!!!!! and speaking of bread, i HANDMADE my own Naan bread from freaking SCRATCH on saturday and it was THE BOMB DOT COM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Kaele (jason's little sis) and her skater friends stopped by on their way home from DC and one of them had it right of the grill and said it tasted like candy. i cannot tell you how proud i am of myself. it was the shit. PLUS i made falafel, a mint-yogurt-cucumber dipping sauce AND chicken kebabs (i think i sent you the recipe--needs more sumac and definitely more cayenne pepper but it was still good). it was 95 degrees outside and about 105 in our kitchen. the windows were open all day and poor kitties, they almost died. but it was still a fun day. dan and his new gf came over as did mom, dad, stevie and la-lauren so we could celebrate jason's 29th bday. your present should be there any day btw. wish you could have been there!
